Exchange App Renewal
Jan 07, 2024
2021-2023
As product manager at a global crypto exchange, I owned the renewal of its app for the Korean market. The starting point was data: finding where users hesitated or dropped, then reworking the flows around those moments — all the way down to the microcopy.
#Global product, local voice
A global product and a local market rarely want the same thing at the same time. The renewal was an exercise in balance: keep the product coherent globally, while reshaping onboarding, trading flows, and moments of doubt around how the local market actually behaves.
#Sweat the words
Consistent UX writing is part of the design, not a garnish. I wrote a UX-writing guideline that kept the whole app speaking in one voice — the same words for the same concepts, the same tone in success and in failure. In a domain where money moves, wording is a trust feature.
#The invisible half
I also designed the wallet back-office: the core features for coin transactions and asset management that keep operations running behind the scenes. Nobody applauds a back-office, but everything users trust depends on it.
